November signals the end of the regular ride season for the Murfreesboro Bike Club - but there will still be plenty of good riding this month. Watch the message board and Facebook page for ride opportunities.
If you're not sure how to dress for fall and winter riding - see my blog dated 11.22.15 for ideas on how to layer. Personally, this is my most favorite time of year for riding - and I plan to do lots of it.
There are several club events scheduled for this winter - keeping us in touch until ride season begins again on April 1, 2017.
- November 12 is our quarterly membership meeting, ride, and pot luck at Coon Hunters - Everyone bring a pot of your favorite soup, or crackers, chips, corn bread, dessert, etc to go with soup. The club will provide bowls, utensils, and drinks. We will have our 2017 officer elections - the slate of officers has been mailed out to the membership. We will open the ballot for additional nominations from the floor, and then vote for the officers who will serve the club during 2017. The main agenda item for the membership meeting will be the 2017 HOT 100. You can also make your reservation for the Christmas Party at the Nov. 12 meeting.
- Christmas Party at Readyville Mill – Saturday, December 3 - Cost this year is $25 per member and $35 for guests - the club account is too low for us to subsidize the cost as in years past - but we are covering $10 per person up to 60 guests. The party is always fun, and I hope to see you all there - details have been emailed out to club members.
- Chili Ride January 7, 2017 will be from Coon Hunters again. We will ride, eat Chili, induct the newly elected officers, and give out mileage awards.
- And no foolin', the Annual Cary Way Kick Off Ride will be April 1, 2017 - place to be determined.
