Assault on Mt. Mitchell, Assault on Marion

The Assault on Marion covers the first 72 miles of the Assault on Mt. Mitchell challenge.

Assault on Mt. Mitchell Riders will go the rest of the 6,500 of the 11,000 plus feet of this challenge and this is all done in the next 27 miles to the top of Mt. Mitchell.

CARTI Tour de Rock
North Little Rock, AR

Join cycling enthusiasts from all across the United States for the fifth annual CARTI Tour de Rock, presented by Coulson Oil Company. Casual riders of all ages and skill levels can enjoy the 18-mile Arkansas Children’s Hospital Family Fun Ride, or more experienced cyclists can select advanced ride options of 30, 50 or 62 miles. Registration fees, which include a barbeque feast and live entertainment, are: adults, $25 in advance or $30 at the gate; children ages 12 and under, $10; children age 2 and under, free. Spirit Rider (support option) registration is $15. Cherohala Skyway: a road with the highest average elevation of any road its length east of the Mississippi.

These legendry ribbons of pavement are joined by scenic, rolling, country roads in Tennessee and North Carolina and together create an unforgettable epic ride.

Blood, Sweat, & Gears
Watauga County, North Carolina

A demanding route, requires over 13,000 feet of total climbing. Highlights of the route include a 21 mile section of the Blue Ridge Parkway, a strenuous climb over the 4,500 foot gap at Snake Mountain, and a 10 mile "flat" on old US 421.

A 50 mile "Half Century" is available for those who prefer the sanity of a challenging, but shorter route.
