The Two County Metric starts from Rockvale Elementary School located approximately 7 miles southwest of Murfreesboro, TN on Hwy. 99 (New Salem Hwy.). The 62-mile course promises to be challenging with plenty of rolling hills and all the beauty that goes with it. The beginning of the ride heads towards Eagleville, which is very flat and easy for the first 10 miles. This is where the terrain starts to change, from this point on the ride gets a little more hilly, but without killer hills to ascend, just lots of rollers. Ride the fully supported 62-mile course and if your legs are feeling fresh we have added an optional flat loop to give you a full century. Note: you will be on your own for this part of the ride, it is not supported.

The 31-mile route is less challenging with fewer hills. Both rides start out together for the first 8 miles then rejoin the main group at mile 43. The 31-mile option will have one rest stop located at the 20-mile mark. Also, the ride will be fully sagged in case you should need any help.

We have two excellent rest stops planned for the ride. The first is at the little community of Bethesda, mile 23. You will find fresh fruit, cookies, sports drinks and water. If you feel like more of a meal, the Bethesda Store has a complete Deli and Restaurant with a nice indoor eating area to rest up before continuing on your way. The second rest stop is located at a small country church at mile 46. Restroom facilities will be available at both rest stop locations (port a pots).

This year the Rockvale Booster Club will be hosting a spaghetti dinner. Your dinner is included in this year's fee. So come early and support the Rockvale Booster Club.

We plan to have a great time at the Eighth Annual Two County Metric so don't miss out. Mark your calendar for Saturday April 15, 2006 and please plan to attend!
